Anthony and Brother Joe Cumia win a WBAB song parody contest orchetrated by Opie. Joe hand-delivers the demo tape to Opie, and the brothers later appear on Opie's show when the parody becomes a hit.

Cumia tries to hop onto the Stern Show, but is rejected when he mentions Opie. Howard takes the first shot at O&A.

The greatest prank ever pulled, orchestrated by Opie, backfired (or did it?) Nice men from the government in black suits had a nice conversation with O&A for the first time.

O&A return to New York City at 102.7 WNEW. They try to be good boys, but the callers are NOT having it. THIS is different than what I'm USED TO!!! By December, WNEW are dead last in the ratings.

O&A begin their 20-year friendship with Joe Piscipo.

15 months after Opie's preaching, management sees it their way and dumps the Music format, rebranding itself as "WNEW: FM Talk."

5 months after flipping to an all-talk format, veteran jocks Ron & Fez are recruited. From day one, they are welcomed by O&A with open arms.

What is it with Mayors? Rudy Giuliani personally calls for the arrest of Lewis Black and Jim Norton for riding on a glass Party Bus full of naked teenagers, with POTUS Bill Clinton watching. Just one of many times that the FBI and Secret Service had a nice talk with O&A. Linger Longer!

After making fun of the fact that Howard's daughter over-dosed at Z-100's Jingle Ball 2000, Howard calls the boss Ken Stevens and tries to get them fired.

2002: January 4
Ron & Fez producer Al Dukes tries to get on Opie's good side by gifting him a vintage 'Rolling Stones' pinball machine. Opie smashes it with a hammer to the horror of Al Dukes, and to the delight of Ron & Fez.

O&A get a talking to from management about attacking Howard Stern and Don & Mike, both shows request WNEW ban O&A from mentioning them.

Opie berates Patti to the extent that even Anthony taps out at the end.

Two dopey millionaires navigate bad equipment that barely works, as they broadcast to a very select few paid subscribers on a niche radio service that nobody has.

Less than 48 hours after O&A's XM debut on satellite radio, another dopey millionaire announces he is ALSO moving to satellite... to XM's competitor SIRIUS.

Opie infamously flings a case of poker chips at a female listener, bold enough to gift O&A with throwable objects. Many chips were lost in the console and later found by Opie, who would clink them together.

An "on-the-fly" moment that still goes viral again every few years, pissing off the right people. During the Walkover, O&A's houseless friend offered them his cake. Put it down for a second!

The show almost gets kicked off satellite radio by welcoming all points of view, including unhoused POC. One named Charlie made statements about having surprise sex with various female public servants. O&A yet again got a talking to by Secret Service.
